1/7/19 – River is now in a long-term foster home.

River is a lovely old lad, probably about 10 years old, who has found himself in the care of Halfway Home Dog Rescue in Nottinghamshire, and is now in one of their foster homes nearby, with 2 other dogs.

River is a placid and friendly lad who enjoys going for a quiet ramble with his foster brother & sister. He’s also been to the pub and to a dog friendly cafe and has been very well behaved each time.

He travels fine in the car but does need to be lifted in and out. He is also OK to be left for a few hours if he has another dog for company. River can be worried by loud noises so he’d be better with older children, 10 years or over.

It’s unknown if he can live with cats. He wasn’t interested when cat tested at the rescue but, now he’s settled with his foster mum, she says his confidence is growing!

She thinks he’ll be happiest in a relaxed home and, although he loves his walks, he can only do short ones. He really loves fuss, especially tummy rubs!

If you can offer River the fuss-filled retirement he seeks, please contact Halfway Home Dog Rescue as follows:
