22/04/18 – Rusty has been adopted! Have a happy retirement Rusty!

Rusty is a sparky little Terrier of around 9 years and has been in the care of Last Chance Animal Rescue in Edenbridge, Kent for quite some time. It is now urgent that he finds a home (a long-term foster arrangement will do) because the poor boy has been diagnosed with liver cancer. He has a good quality of life but his time is limited and he needs his own, comfy home now.

Rusty spends his days in the office with the rescue staff for company and gets plenty of attention. At night, he goes to one of their houses. He’s not suffering but he would be happier with a simple arrangement – one or two people he can completely trust, a bed of his own which is always in the same place and a garden to patrol for the months he has left.

Rusty is quite a character! Out on walks, he will ignore other dogs as long as they leave him alone. He has strong views about cyclists and joggers and has no intention of reviewing them. It’s best to keep him on a short lead if you’re likely to come across any. He’d rather not have to ward them off though, and if you can walk him somewhere quiet, the world will be a happier place!

Dear old Rusty is content just to potter about or muse and snooze in his owners company. He will probably form a strong bond with you and want the occasional bit of fuss, tummy rubs especially, but he’s not at all needy. He will come to you as and when he feels like bestowing this great honour upon you!

Rusty will protect you and your home from the machinations of cyclists, or any other sort of baddy, with fearless loyalty and devotion…

…for as long as he can.
