Smudge has been inundated with home offers! She’s picked her favourite and is on her way there! Have a great retirement you little cutie!

Little old lady Smudge has been waiting in Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary‘s kennels in Stadhampton for over a year. She’s a Patterdale Terrier of 10 years and is a real people-loving, lap-loving ball of fuzz!

“Why has she been overlooked?” – we hear you all cry?

She’s adorable, affectionate, playful, funny…

The only reason we can see is that she needs to be an only pet. That’s it! Well, almost, she does need to be kept on the lead when other dogs are around because she doesn’t suffer fools (other dogs) gladly.

“Hardly a crime!” you say, and we wholeheartedly agree. Since she’s small it’s easy enough to manage her even if she does meet another dog and decide to put her foot down with a firm hand.

And just look at that dear old face!

If you’ve ever had a Terrier, you’ll know how strongly they bond with their owners and how they like to be busy by your side during the day and snuggled up to you in the evening.

You’ll also know what clever, funny characters they are. They love being taught new things. Partly for the mental gymnastics and partly for the treats and fuss!

“Oh yeah, that’s the spot. Ahhh, scratchies!”

Smudge is someone’s perfect companion. She needs an adult only home and a peaceful existence of garden pottering, quiet walks and probably dogging your footsteps around the house to see if you need her help with anything.

If you have a vacancy on your lap and you promise to keep other silly dogs away from wise old Smudge, she would be delighted to make you acquaintance. Please contact Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary as follows:
