Willow has a beautiful, white, soft and furry coat and she’s a very pretty lady. She has spent years in a shelter and she is now hoping to find a calm, retirement home, or even a new foster home, where she can bloom. She’s now in foster care, just outside Calne in Wiltshire through Leash of Life.

Willow is about 10 years old and she’s possibly a large Collie or Shepherd mix. Life has not been easy for this lovely girl but her spirit is still very much intact. She has been in a foster home for a short time and is settling very well into home life. She is fully house-trained and has had no accidents in the house at all, giving very clear signals when she needs to go out. Her foster home is only temporary, so she needs a new foster home or permanent home as soon as possible. She would well suit an older couple looking for a companion dog and is equally comfortable around men and women.

Willow is gentle but shy and has not had much contact with children or cats so her reaction to them is not known. She is fine with other dogs and walks well on a lead. If Willow is on the lead, she will allow you to stroke her but off-lead she tends to shy away. That said, she will readily take treats and will lick your hand. She also does a happy dance when you come back into the room and is always pleased to see you. In time, she is going to be a very affectionate, loving girl.

Willow has no known medical needs and has been spayed.
