Sadly, Zach came into the care of Dogsfriends in Somerset because his previous owners could not give him the necessary care and he was spending the majority of his time locked away. He’s now being cared for in a foster home, but it’s truly time for him to live the good life in his forever home.

Zach is a black Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is approximately 8 years old. He came into rescue in a very bad condition suffering from skin and paw problems but, after receiving all the necessary veterinary care, he is now healthy.

Zach is looking for a quiet and calm home with gentle people round him most of the time and with a big garden too preferably. He is now the right weight, his skin and paws are healthy and he is very happy. He needs to be the only dog in a home where any children are older and more responsible. Zach could probably live with a dog-savvy cat. He needs time to be nurtured but, since being in his foster home, he has improved a lot. Zach needs time and patience, but he will make a great companion.

Zach’s foster carer says: “He is quiet and doesn’t bark much at all. He hasn’t been left for long periods of time but overnight he is quite happy to just sleep and is settled. He is good with my cat, just curious, not aggressive at all. He’s not keen on coming when he is called, just prefers to keep on going until it suits him! He’s not high maintenance at all, very chilled, extremely friendly with humans but does jump up.”

Zach has no known health needs now and has been neutered.
