14/10/19 – We are delighted to hear that Bert has found a new home thanks to being noticed on the Oldies Club website. Marvellous!

Gorgeous Bert is approximately 9 years old. He is a Labrador mix, originally from Serbia, now with Blind Dog Rescue (Bert isn’t blind though!) in foster in Malden, Essex.

In Serbia, Bert was poisoned twice within two weeks, but he miraculously survived. He is a mild-mannered, friendly boy who could live with a quiet female dog. He is a super boy in the home, and his current fosterer adores him.

Despite his greying face, Bert isn’t ready for retirement yet and so he needs a home where he will be taken for plenty of walks. He needs an adult home, preferably with no visiting children, as he can nip when excited.

Bert has a strong prey drive so cannot live with cats or other small animals. On walks he can be strong if he sees squirrels, of if cars or cyclists pass him too quickly. He needs someone who will work on this with him. When there are no distractions, he walks nicely on his harness.

Bert needs to move from his current foster home soon, so as well as permanent home offers, the rescue would also consider offers of a new foster home.

Potential homes will be homechecked and BDR have an adoption donation of £255.

Could you offer Bert a new foster home or a forever home?
