This stunning boy is 8 year old Buddy who came into the care of Friends of Akitas Trust UK from the dog pound after he was found straying and no owner came forward to bring him home. He’s currently in kennels in Nottinghamshire. He’s pretty sad in there but cheers up as soon as he’s outside with a kind human.
Buddy is a steady boy with a well rounded character. He’s gentle around all people but as there’s no previous history on him, he’d only be placed in a home with children from 12 years old. He could potentially live with a female canine companion after successful introductions but he isn’t cat tested.
Buddy has been to the vets for his vaccinations with no issues. He travelled well in the car and after giving a little sing song soon settled down to watch the world go by.
A loving and affectionate boy, Buddy would rather share a cuddle than play with toys. He is good around food and takes treats gently but is not very treat motivated. Like most of the dogs in kennels he pulls initially on the lead with the joy of going for a walk but he soon settles down and walks nicely.
Buddy is fully vaccinated, microchipped and will be neutered before adoption. He’s lonely and stressed in kennels. He really loves being around people and can’t wait to have a forever family to call his own. Could that be with you?
