Sweet Clara is a medium sized Crossbreed, possibly a Collie Cross, and although her passport indicates she’s 4 years old, it’s believed she is around 7 years old. Clara is in the care of a foster home near Norwich provided by Safe Rescue while she hopes her special person will come and take her home.
Clara is one of the thirteen dogs taken to the Botosani public shelter in Romania after their owner died. She was quite broken when she arrived in the U.K. and her experiences had clearly made her withdraw into herself. Her coat was in a terrible state and the light had gone from her eyes.
However, a few days later the girl buried beneath all the fear began to emerge. She’s now enjoying her walks and pottering about at home showing an interest in the world around her. Everyone is waiting to see her tail wag but, any day now, it’s going to happen!
Clara needs a quiet home where she can relax and spend the rest of her life without looking over her shoulder. She would suit a retired person or couple but still needs nice walks as she’s spent enough of her life hidden away.
Clara is a very special little dog who is going to blossom over the coming weeks and teach us all a few life lessons. She is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
