17/9/19 – Dottie has been rehomed!

Aptly named, Dottie is a lovely Dalmatian who was handed in to South East Dog Rescue in Kent by her former owners as they could no longer keep her. She is so confused as to why she is kennels and really needs a loving, retirement home soon.

Dottie is 12 years old and has been spayed, microchipped and restarted her vaccinations as they had lapsed. She has also been worm/flea treated. She is a gorgeous girl who is happy to go for a stroll and then have a long nap. She enjoys her food and cuddles and is fine to live with children. Dottie has also lived with cats.

Dottie is initially a little timid around other dogs and so would prefer to live either without other dogs or with a canine friend who isn’t too bouncy and ‘in her face’. She is house-trained, but she does sometimes wet her bed when she is asleep. This is easily managed with her waterproof, washable bed and some pads. She has been started on medication for the incontinence which, hopefully, will completely cure it, so this should not prevent her from finding a caring, family home.

Dottie would be suited to someone who has lots of time but doesn’t want to do lots of walking. She is calm, doesn’t bark and she is fine to be left for a few hours.
