3/6/19 – Happy news for Rexi already – he has found a new home!

Rexi will be 15 in July and he’s a really lovely Labrador x Collie who belonged to a man named Martin who was hill-walking in Scotland and went missing. Martin’s friends and family held a memorial service for him as unfortunately it is not likely to be a happy ending. What a desperately sad situation. Rexi is now in a foster home with Labrador Rescue North West.

Rexi is a sprightly boy who defies his years and has had a lovely life and been on many adventures with Martin. He now needs a wonderful new home. He is such a brave dog and has understandably been feeling bewildered as his life has changed so much of late.

Rexi loves cats and is fine with dogs. He has been used to horses, sheep and cows. He travels well too.

Here is some information from his foster carer:

He’s more a people dog, not a dog dog, but is very good with my dogs. Very respectful of the cats, so they relaxed with him very quickly. Tried to scatter the hens this morning, but I told him firmly and he was very contrite. I would say he has more collie traits than Lab traits, for example he’s not greedy! At work now and he was very happy to meet everyone. Very playful – found a ball and a soft toy last night and brought them for me to play with him. I think he would bond very quickly with any new owner.

Could you offer Rexi a happy ending?:
