14/1/20 – Wonderful news for Rocky… he’s found a new home!

11-year-old Rocky is a friendly lad who is being rehomed by RSPCA Macclesfield SE Cheshire & Buxton Branch but is kennelled at RSPCA Chesterfield in Derbyshire. He’s a medium-sized lad who has a build similar to a Labrador.

Sadly, Rocky’s owner had dementia for some time and so Rocky wasn’t walked for several years. His owner went into permanent care and relatives visited Rocky in the property while a solution was found. He was originally from another rescue but they would not take him back because of his age, so thankfully RSPCA Macclesfield took him in.

Rocky loves fuss and will happily spend his time being the centre of attention. He is very upset to find himself in kennels, so please do enquire about him if you could offer him a home, or alternatively share him online, before he really suffers.

Rocky isn’t comfortable with dogs being too close to him and so is looking for a home without other dogs. It isn’t known whether he has lived with cats. Children in his new home need to be aged 10 years plus.

Rocky is looking for a quiet, steady home where he can simply relax and have fun in his senior years. Rocky has been described by his owner’s relatives as a sofa dog, so a home with a sofa with Rocky’s name on it is a must!

Could you offer Rocky a home, a sofa and lots of love?
