04/07/2020 – Bobby has been adopted, having been spotted as Oldies Club’s Old Dog of the Week! Congratulations Bobby!

Sweet little Bobby is an 8 year old Jack Russell X Dachshund in foster care in Hingham, Norfolk through Safe Rescue. He’s a bit timid so he needs a calm, adult-only home with owners who’ll allow him to build up a bond at his own pace. It took his foster carer a while to gain his trust but he’s like her shadow now. His love is well worth the wait!

Bobby’s had a tough life. For years he was a yard dog and the only interaction he had with people, well, he’s trying to forget still. He’ll need reassurance and routine in his retirement. As well as comfy places to snooze!

He is nervous of visitors and his adopter will have to be prepared to put him in another room sometimes if needed.

He is definitely a ladies’ man but with patience he will come round in time and will trust a man who’s consistently nice to him. Once trust is established with any new person, he loves fuss and cuddles.

Bobby has missed out on many years’ worth of jolly walkies and wants to make up for it now! He likes to have two lively walks a day so he need owners who are active. As you can see, he loves being out and about but doesn’t love having his picture taken!

Bobby hasn’t been cat tested. He tolerates other dogs and it’s thought he could live with a sensible one. He’d also be happy as an only pet, having all the fuss for himself!
