31/7/20 – Nero has found a home!

Gorgeous Nero looks just like a big, black bear … but a friendly, gentle and very cuddly one. He has come into the care of Safe Rescue from a private Romanian shelter. He is enjoying life in a foster home near Norwich, Norfolk, and is keeping his big paws crossed that his forever home will come soon.
Nero is an 11 year old, large Crossbreed, possibly with Newfoundland in the mix. His thick coat means grooming materials will be very much needed in his new home, but he absolutely loves being groomed thankfully and spending this time with him is very much a pleasure not a chore.
Nero is quite slow on his legs but perhaps with a bit of gentle build-up and weight loss he can maybe achieve a little more. Taking in an older dog is a very special experience, knowing that the time is precious from the start makes you fully appreciate every day with them.
Nero has been cat tested and is okay with them. He is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered … and ready to go home.
