08/11/2020 – Smiler has been adopted! Hooray!

Despite living in a Romanian public shelter, Smiler was still a happy and bouncy little lad amongst the other dogs even after being there for a couple of years. He’s now safely being cared for in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, while Safe Rescue is helping him to find his forever home.

Smiler is a 7 – 8 year old Corgi/Terrier-type cross and he is doing very well in his foster home. He is still happy and bouncy and loves to be around people, but he is very hand-shy and will not ask for a fuss. This is a cheeky little character with huge potential. He has a real zest for life and sense of fun but just needs someone who understands that fuss and cuddles will come later on.

Smiler loves his walks and when on a lead will happily let his foster mum stroke him. He’s absolutely ecstatic to see her when she comes home or gets up in the morning, but he just doesn’t really understand the whole being stroked thing.

Smiler gets on very well with other dogs and would like a doggy friend in his new home. He hasn’t been introduced to cats but it’s likely that he would chase and be very amused by them.

Smiler is neutered, microchipped and an adoption fee and home check apply.
