Kind and loyal Tyke was brought to the U.K. by Safe Rescue after being seen in a Romanian shelter. He had been taken to the shelter by his owner a couple of years earlier, along with several other small pedigree dogs, to be put to sleep, but it was clear that he was an affectionate and sweet boy who just had to be saved.

Tyke is a German Shepherd who is believed to be around 8 – 9 years old. He is enjoying the comforts of a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, and looking for an extra special new home as he deserves to go to the best of the best. He should have only the best life has to offer from here on. A quiet, retirement home with an abundance of love and pampering are all he asks for.

Tyke is a kind and loyal boy who humbles everyone with how sweet and cuddly he is. He loves his walks and is thrilled to set his paws down on grass again after the years of concrete at the shelter. He is a little underweight and a little stiff on his back legs, so exercise needs to be monitored carefully and supplements in his diet would benefit him greatly.

Tyke does have a heart murmur which has no impact on his health at the moment but may require treatment later on to keep him with us for as long as possible. It’s heartbreaking to think of the life this special boy has led so far. He is so happy to be here and so grateful for any time and attention spent on him.
