Jacob (Safe Rescue, fostered Norfolk)

Poor Jacob has spent over 6 years in a Romanian public shelter, but he’s now so happy to be in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, provided by Safe Rescue.

Jacob is a medium-sized Crossbreed of around 8 years old. This sad and scar-faced older boy had given up hope of ever having a life worth living and is now in disbelief at the world he finds around him.

Despite so many years without any human contact, he is adjusting well to human handling and already enjoys a fuss from the people he knows well. The first time a lead was put on him, he screamed blue murder but is now enjoying a gentle stroll and sniffing all the things a dog should take for granted in life.

Jacob is still a little hand shy and so is not suitable to live with young children. He can live with or without another dog. Jacob will need to continue to grow in confidence in the coming weeks, but he has a wonderful new future ahead of him now.

Jacob is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. An adoption fee and home-check apply.

Note: Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from Safe Rescue must wear a slip lead on walks for the duration of their lives. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue.
