31/1/2021 Lovely Laura is so happy now that she has been adopted.

Lovely Laura is a gentle Labrador-sized Crossbreed looking for her retirement home with the help of Safe Rescue and is presently living in a foster home in South Shields. Her passport states she’s 8 years old, but she actually may be a bit older than that.
When Laura arrived at her foster home, she broke her carers’ hearts; her hard life is written all over her body, her face is scarred, she had sores across her hips from constant flea bites, she has a broken tail and was pitifully thin.
The good news is that Laura quickly discovered the soft, comfy beds and pretty much stayed there for 2 weeks, only getting up to go to the toilet or for her food. Now she is rested and healed, she’s starting to have a bit more interest in her surroundings and she’ll get up for a wander around and a potter in the garden. Laura likes to have a gentle explore on walks but still doesn’t go too far.
Laura enjoys a fuss now, though when she arrived she was hand-shy and would crouch when approached, but now she actually seeks out attention and loves a cuddle. She lives well with the other dogs in the foster home, but she would enjoy a home where she can relax as an only dog or with a dog that won’t bother her and where she can enjoy her well-deserved home comforts.
Laura is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
