4/3/2022 Sweet Myrtle has found her new home.

Sadly, sweet Myrtle spent around 6 – 7 years in a Romanian public shelter before being rescued and brought to the U.K. several months ago. She’s now in a foster home near Norwich, Norfolk, provided by Safe Rescue and needs a new home with another dog.
Myrtle is a medium-sized Crossbreed lady of around 9 years old. She had no positive human contact prior to coming into rescue and she took some time to come out of hiding in her foster home. She now has gained loads of confidence and grown so much in character. She will now take a treat from the hand and is happy to curl on the sofa near her foster humans.
Myrtle is still quite hand-shy and needs to go at her own pace when meeting new people. She is a nervous and jumpy girl and she probably always will be, so she will be much better suited in a quiet home with no children. She will need an adopter that has experience with nervous dogs, who will understand her quirky ways, be patient and willing to work with her to help her continue to build her trust in humans again.
Myrtle loves going for walks and gets quite vocal when the lead comes out. She is not quite comfortable with the lead going on and takes a little coaxing but, once out, she walks lovely on the lead and enjoys taking in her surroundings.
Myrtle loves other dogs and definitely needs to be homed with another resident dog; please do not apply unless you have another dog or dogs in full-time residence. She currently lives happily with a cat.
Myrtle is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Note: Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from Safe Rescue must wear a slip lead on walks for the duration of their lives. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
