12/12/21 – Robbie has found a home!

Robbie is a lovely 8 year old Collie x Staffy boy who was found as a stray and was unclaimed in a Welsh council pound. He is now with Rescue Remedies in boarding kennels near Gatwick, West Sussex.

Robbie is a friendly and affectionate dog who enjoys his walks and ignores bikes, cars, horses, people and dogs. He has proven himself to be well-behaved on an overnight foster stay, including a visit to a pub garden where he sat quietly on the ground and did not demand attention or food.

Adorable Robbie would suit a fairly active home where he will be mentally stimulated. He finds leaving the kennel block stressful, and has grabbed for treats, though this has now settled – he’s such a quick learner, bless him.

A Rescue Remedies volunteer said: “I always hope Robbie’s available for me to walk as he’s such an easy, calm dog once he’s away from the kennel block. I never have to worry about other dogs, people, cars or bikes as Robbie takes it all in his stride. He likes to visit the stream for a quick paddle and will always stop for a cuddle. He walks on a slack lead and likes to stop and sniff, but his pace tends to pick up as we head back to the kennels. He’s very keen on having some ball time in the paddock – though he tends to lie down and have a rest and chew the ball after a while.

Note: Rescue Remedies have specific on-lead requirements for their adopted dogs. They also cannot guarantee to reply to unsuccessful homing applications.
