Annie is a 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier who arrived at South East Dog Rescue as a welfare case. She was very underweight, with terrible skin and a mouth full of rotting teeth.

Despite this, sweet Annie is an extremely loving girl who adores snuggles on the sofa. She will make a fantastic companion in her new home.

Annie is housetrained and fine to be left for a few hours. She still enjoys walks and she loves pottering around the garden.

Annie needs an adult-only home, but one with dog-savvy visiting children might be considered. She is cat-friendly and will happily live with cats, but she doesn’t like dogs, so needs a home with no dogs. She will bark at dogs if they come too close on walks too, so a home in a quiet dog-walking area would be ideal for her.

Annie travels well in the car and is a perfect patient at the vets, other than barking at other dogs in the waiting room! During vet examination, they picked up a heart murmur and put Annie on lifelong medication to help with this, which currently works out at about 30p per day. They also ran blood tests and were pleased to see that all values on the blood tests were within normal range. Annie has had a dental and had to have 20 teeth removed! Her skin is now looking great thanks to a good diet and supplements.

She may be an older girl, but Annie has a huge amount of love to give. Could you offer her a wonderful life?
