5/9/22 – Bella has found a home!

Lovely Bella is 9-year-old Crossbreed lady in a foster home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire through Safe Rescue. She can live with other compatible dogs and cats but no children, as she needs her rest.

Bella walks beautifully on the lead and only needs short walks with plenty of snuffling time. On arrival she was quite overweight but a strict diet and regular exercise has slimmed her down considerably.

She will always need her food intake to be controlled as she’s a Labrador type who will hoover up anything and pile on the pounds if you’re not careful. Her joints are a bit stiff these days so weight control is very important for her wellbeing.

Bella is an affectionate girl with those she trusts. She will paw you for more fuss until she’d had enough. She is shy of strangers though and wants her retirement to be peaceful with not too many comings and goings. A secure garden to potter in will make her really happy.

Note: Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks for the duration of their lives. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full information about their rehoming policy is on Bella’s details on Safe Rescue’s Facebook page.
