Jasper (Safe Rescue, fostered Norfolk)

Jasper is a small Terrier Crossbreed boy believed to be 8 or 9 years old. He’s in a multi-dog foster home in Gorleston, Norfolk through Safe Rescue.

Jasper was rescued from Romania where his troubled existence left him with some trauma. At first, he wouldn’t let anyone touch him. After several months, he now shows great affection for people he knows and trusts.

He still won’t let strangers touch him and anyone who adopts him will need to respect that this comes from a place of fear and be willing to wait to earn his trust. Jasper’s great passion in life is his walks.

This boy is true to his terrier genes and just loves to run…

…and explore the world.

Jasper has been brave enough to learn to enjoy the company of humans and his zest for life is a delight to see. He will need a home with at least one other dog but would be happy in any sized pack. He’s not good with cats or small furries and will need an adult family or maybe one with teenagers who understand they cannot stroke him until he’s ready.

Jasper travels well in a car and can be left at home for reasonable periods with his doggy companions when necessary. Winning this lovely boy’s trust is a true honour!

Note: Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks for the duration of their lives. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full information about their rehoming policy is on Jasper’s details on Safe Rescue’s Facebook
