13/3/22 – Gorgeous Max has found a home!

———————

Max is a gorgeous little Terrier who came into the care of All Animals Rescue & Rehome in Essex along with his brother (who has now been rehomed) after his owner was unable to look after him due to ill health. Max is just so adorable and needs a loving home to see out his twilight years in comfort, warmth and lots of love.

Max is a Terrier mix and is 10 years old in July this year. He weighs just 6kg. He was very subdued and confused when he arrived, understandably grieving for his owner. He is an adorable little lad once he knows you and loves nothing more than snuggles with you.

Max walks well on the lead and is great off-lead; he is always on your heels and never wanders far from your side. Initially, Max was very vocal and would scream when left and during car journeys, probably a mix of grieving for his owner and the totally overwhelming experience for him. He now travels well, with the occasional little squeak or whine and, if you sit with him, he is quite content. He is also fine being left now.

Max is a fantastic little terrier and, unlike most terriers, he is quite the couch potato. He would make a great friend for an older person or persons and is a very adaptable little lad. Most of the time, he is on the sofa either on a lap or curled up close.

Max is gorgeous and is one very laid-back boy. He loves walks but loves cuddles more. Max is very affectionate and loves to cuddle up next to you. He is clean in the house and fine with other dogs, but he would prefer to be the only dog in the house. Max would prefer an adult only home and has not been tested with cats.

Max was castrated and had a dental when he arrived. He needed 5 teeth removed and the rest were cleaned. Following his dental work, Max had some wobbles and spasms that couldn’t be explained and happened once or twice a week for a couple of minutes, but he seems to have stopped now. This is not a pain element, so it’s possible he has a slight neurological issue or infection, but it doesn’t affect him and doesn’t require further treatment. He hasn’t had an episode for a while now so hopefully whatever it was has sorted itself out. Max is neutered, microchipped, flea/worm treated and had a dental when he arrived.
