Darling Romy is a sweet Crossbreed girl, on the small side of medium sized and is believed to be about 12-years-old but could be slightly younger. She’s in a multi-dog foster home in Worcestershire through Nirina Dog Rescue.

Romy is shy at first but warms up to people as soon as she realises they’re kind and gentle. When she trusts you, she can take any amount of fuss and cuddles!

Romy can be wary in unknown places and will need reassurance on new walks. Once she knows it’s just another fun adventure with her people, she’s thrilled to be out exploring, snuffling all around.

N.B. This and another photo below are 4 years old but they’re so lovely, we had to share them. You just have to mentally add a bit of grey around the muzzle, bless her!

Romy spent 6 years in a shelter in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She’s come on in leaps and bounds since being in foster care in the UK. She’s house trained and can be left for a couple of hours. She does enjoy having time in the garden.

She’s good with other dogs and would happily live with one or more, as long as they were compatible. She can also live with sensible, older children but not cats. They’re so fun to chase!

Romy is spayed and healthy. She can travel in the car but it’s still a bit of a novelty to her. She needs owners who will let her adapt to her new surroundings in her own time. She’s a very loving lady when allowed to get to know you gradually.

If you might by the kind person worthy of being Romy’s best friend, please contact Nirina Dog Rescue as follows:
