Pretty Spacey is a petite 11-year-old Lakeland Terrier X girl (weighing about 9kg and standing about 12″ tall) who is with Stokenchurch Dog Rescue in Buckinghamshire. The rescue generally rehomes its dogs within a 50-mile radius.
Spacey is a wonderful girl who has found herself in rescue through absolutely no fault of her own. She has been at the rescue previously and so was incredibly sad and heartbroken when she was returned after almost 2 years in her home. She has now settled in well but she much prefers it when she has the company and attention of her carers.
Fun-loving Spacey is a very active girl who loves to be outside investigating and exploring new places. Her new home needs to have a good-sized garden for her to play in, and it must be fully-enclosed with 6ft fencing. Spacey loves to play with her squeaky toys and she will happily bring them back to you, although she takes her time in dropping them. Spacey loves to be with people and she benefits from plenty of interaction with her owners as she likes to be kept mentally stimulated.
Spacey could live with children aged 12 years and over but she doesn’t like other animals and she must be muzzled at all times when in public places. Wearing a muzzle does not bother or faze Spacey in the slightest as she is so used to it, so don’t let that put you off applying. Spacey loves her walks and also loves to run, but due to her dislike of other animals, it is advisable to have her attached to a long line in open spaces.
Spacey will make a great addition to a quiet household where someone is around for the majority of the day. She has grown fond of her carers in rescue and becomes unsettled when left, so wants to be able to spend as much time with her new people was possible. Spacey is such an affectionate girl who will bring joy, happiness, fun and frolics to her new family.
The adoption fee for Spacey is £140 and you will need to visit her a minimum of two times (your entire household) before adoption.
