Little sweetie Tess is a 9-year-old Staffy girl in foster care in Lancashire through Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary. She could live with older, dog-savvy children but not very young ones. She needs her nap times to be uninterrupted!

Tess is great with other dogs when out and about. She walks nicely on the lead, ignoring dogs she doesn’t know and walking happily with those she does. That said, she wants to have her humans’ attention all to herself at home and is a bit chasey with small furries so she’d better be the only pet at home.

Tess is an affectionate girl. It took her about a week to settle into her foster home. She cried at night for the first few nights but got used to being on her own after that. She definitely loves company and wants a home where someone is around most of the time. As with all dogs, she’ll need time to adjust to changes and plenty of reassurance and fuss.

Tess is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and flea/worm treated. She had a benign mammary lump which has been removed and is nothing to worry about. She does have hematomas in her ears from either previously untreated ear infections or allergies. Her fosterer has recently noticed that she gets itchy skin which is thought to be caused by seasonal allergies, so some medication is going to be tried to help that.
