25/4/23 – Lovely Bijau has found a home!
Bijau is a handsome old boy, aged around 10 years old. Bijau was struggling in the Bosnian shelter with 300 other dogs and it was thought that he’d improve in a home environment. He’s now in a foster home in Malvern, Worcestershire, for Nirina’s Dog Rescue.
When Bijau arrived he was very shut down. He would hide in his dog crate and face the corner if you were looking at him. Despite this he would let you stroke him and he was happy with the reassurance.
Bijau has improved over time and he now runs outside for the toilet, plays in the garden and wags his tail. He will not approach humans for attention as he is still unsure of them, but he is improving daily.
Bijau gets on with other dogs and would be fine with cats. He needs a home with a patient owner who will take time to work with him to help him to gradually get used to humans.
