7/12/23 – Rehomed!

Dear Dakota was rescued from an overcrowded shelter when the person who took care of her and 140 other dogs was arrested. She travelled all the way to the UK and is currently living with her foster mum in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk. provided by Paws2Rescue.

Dakota is 12 years old (dob 22/11/2011) and about 23 inches tall. Despite being a senior, she is a healthy and active lady. She is incredibly friendly and has loved everyone she met so far. Dakota greets every stranger with a friendly wag and happily says hello to all her neighbours. Despite her age, Dakota is full of beans. She would not thrive in a really quiet house with minimal exercise; this girl wants a more active home!

Dakota is living happily with other dogs and cats in her foster home. She is house-trained and very well-behaved. Dakota happily wears a collar and walks beautifully on a lead. She loves walking and sniffing around; a particularly strong smell might distract her and make her pull the lead, but it is only a matter of practice.

Dakota is extremely clever and is a super quick learner. Within a week, she has made great progress in her foster home, adjusting to the new reality and completely new routine. It’s believed she will be very happy as an only dog, but she can share home with other animals too.

As long as her new family is prepared to give her time and support to settle, adjust and learn the ropes, Dakota will be a wonderful addition to any home. She is an affectionate and intelligent girl. She has so much joy and love to give and deserves to spend her senior years with a loving family in her forever home.

Dakota has no known medical issues and is neutered.
