Happy Molly is a cute, black and tan Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua Cross whose elderly owner was taken into hospital and will no longer be able to provide the care and exercise Molly needs. She is a dear little dog who would suit someone who does not want a puppy but would enjoy the company and exercise of a loyal friend.

Molly is 9 years old (d.o.b. 20.10.2013), neutered and is a friendly, little lady who enjoys a fuss being made of her (although she does get a bit over-excited to start with). She has had a very sheltered life but, now her days as a companion dog are over, she is ready to begin the next phase of her life.

Typical of most Terriers, Molly can be quite independent and knows what she wants, which might include chasing cats if given the chance. She is relishing the chance to get out and about. As she is getting fitter, this has become a brisk walk in the woods most days so regular exercise and a secure garden to explore will be important in her new home. She walks well on a lead but is not used to being off-lead in open areas.

Molly is not used to living with another dog but is going out calmly with a variety of other dogs at the Rescue Centre, so a compatible friend might be a possibility. She is used to someone home all the time but could be left on her own for a few hours at a time when necessary.

Molly does not appear to have done much travelling by car but this could be another new experience she could come to love. She is fit for her age, her skin and heart are in good shape and she is shedding the extra pounds that have accumulated in recent years. Her teeth are a bit stained and she would benefit from a scale and polish at some point in the future, but there is no requirement for immediate dental treatment.
