Beautiful Bonnie is a 7-year-old Akita who is desperately seeking a new family to love. She is being rehomed by Friends of Akitas and is in Greater London.

Bonnie is a gorgeous girl who, being an Akita, can be aloof, but makes friends quickly with dog-aware people and is then affectionate and friendly. She greeted FOA’s assessor with kisses, a face wash and an excited waggy tail.

Bonnie loves going out and she walks reasonably well on a lead, although she can be strong when excited. Due to a sad change in circumstances, Bonnie has not been receiving the exercise she is used to, but with regular walks her lead work will improve. She can be left alone for a few hours each day and is not destructive.

Bonnie knows basic commands and she loves her food which would make further training easier. She also enjoys playing with toys and shows no signs of guarding. She is not a fan of felines and couldn’t live with small furries.

Bonnie has not lived with small children so will not rehomed to live with them. Her ideal home is one where she will be the only dog in an adult-only home, where she will go for regular walks to explore her surroundings, and be part of her family’s day-to-day life. Homes with dog-savvy teenagers may be considered.

Bonnie is a really sweet girl and all she needs now is a new forever home. Could that be with you?
