This is absolutely endearing Edna! She is a gorgeous little Chihuahua who joined All Animals Rescue & Rehome in Essex at the beginning of the year. She was picked up as a stray along with another little dog that, sadly, was in such a state and had to be euthanised.
Edna is approximately 7/8 years old and was such a scared little dog that she would run and hide under the bed and wouldn’t come out for hours; even now if you shout or there is a loud noise, she will go and hide somewhere. It’s difficult to imagine what her poor little life had been like, but it definitely wasn’t one of love and comfort.
Since then, Edna’s little character has started to shine through. She loves to be outside on walks and exploring; she loves a snuggle at home with you and loves to sleep on your head at night. Edna is such an adorable little lady weighing just 3kg. She loves her food and will do almost anything for a dreamy cat treat.
Edna enjoys her home comforts and a cuddle; whoever adopts this little lady will be very lucky indeed as she really has the most amazing character. Edna is as house-trained as a Chi can be. She won’t make any particular effort to go out but will use a puppy pad if it’s down. Edna walks lovely on the lead and is fab off-lead. She is great with dogs of all shapes and sizes and is great with cats.
Edna has never been destructive and is fine to be left for short periods. She is not a yappy dog at all which is unusual for these little guys. She is a very social little lady so could live with other dogs or would be equally happy as the only dog with lots of human company. Being older, she would prefer an older person or couple to live with, although she would be fine with older children used to tiny dogs.
Edna is neutered, microchipped and flea/worm treated. She also had a dental on arrival and she needed a few teeth extracted.
