Jolene is a typical faithful old lab ! She originates from Romania where she had lived in a public shelter, but is now safe in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, through Safe Rescue. Such a poppet, that throughly deserves a loving forever home in which to spend the rest of her days.
She is a medium sized black Lab cross, around 8 yrs of age, looking to be the only dog in the home as she can be a bit of a jealous princess, although perfectly fine with other dogs out and about.
She had been seen a quite a few times in the shelter by Safe Rescue, and was always thought to be a bit of a diva. But now she is in a loving foster home, she has definitely mellowed and lost that edge they had witnessed in the shelter. It’s hardly surprising when such dogs have to compete for affection with so many others.
Jolene is sweet and friendly with humans, and loves her people. She walks nicely on the lead, but does not need lots of exercise, as she would rather head home to the sofa !
Jolene could live in a flat with a couple of little walks, or if you have a secure garden in which she can potter, she would be a very happy girl. She would be the perfect companion for an older person or couple, and is just waiting for her place to call home.
Please note …Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
