Cuddle monster Camel was rehomed recently but, so sadly due to an unforeseen and sudden medical emergency, his owner is now unable to continue to care for him and he is back in care with Leicester Animal Aid who are very keen to find a loving home for him. Kennels are no place for an older gentleman, especially such a people-loving one.

Camel is an 8-year-old Crossbreed who can live with sensible teenagers but wants to be the only pet at home. He loves meeting people and is very affectionate when he trusts you. His infectious personality has caught all the hearts of the staff at the Centre. He is so loving and sweet-natured, liking nothing more than a cuddle and meeting new people. He is very respectful of visitors and can’t wait to snuggle up to them on the sofa.

Camel doesn’t need much exercise, just short walks will do as long as he has lots of garden time. He can be very strong on lead and doesn’t like other dogs or cats and therefore would prefer travelling to a secure field where he can exercise off-lead. If a strong walker wishes to walk him, they must avoid other dogs, but Camel is a sniffer and explorer and really does just enjoy a large and secure garden to play in.

Camel must have a secure garden without other dogs either side. He is a lover of older children and cannot live with other animals. Being an older gentleman Camel had settled well into his homely routine and would be happy left on his own for 4 hours. He likes having human company, so a home where someone is around most of the time would be best for him. Time left alone can be built up gradually, once he’s settled in.

Camel is an ideal companion for anyone who loves to be loved. He is an undemanding dog, easy to live with and has so much love to give. He’s starting to wonder why he keeps being overlooked when his kennel mates around him get adopted. Could you turn his luck around and make him happy again?

As well as cuddles and bum scratchies, Camel loves his food!
