Beautiful Remy (AKA Limoncello or Limòn, for short) is a Crossbreed boy of medium size (15kg) believed to be between 7 and 10 years old. Having had a terrible time in Spain, he’s now in a happy foster home in Sheffield through Project Galgo.
Since arriving in the UK in February 2025, Remy has shown what quiet resilience looks like and his sweet nature has shone through. He has a waggy tail, a love of food (all food), and a deep desire to be close to his humans.
He adores comfy beds, being involved in everyday life, and will happily snooze knowing his people are nearby. He’s brilliant with other dogs and cats and has a heart that wants a strong bond with his family.
Like many dogs who’ve endured trauma, Remy carries some anxieties. Sudden “pings” from microwaves or phones can frighten him, and urban walks can be overwhelming — sometimes he sings his feelings loudly.
At home, when stress creeps in, he finds comfort in self-soothing behaviours. All he needs is patience, time and someone willing to love him through it all. When he’s relaxed, his silly side is a joy to behold!
His dream home would be a place where he can spend most of his time with his human, enjoy calm, snuffly walks away from busy streets and curl up somewhere soft at the end of the day.
Remy is neutered, healthy and has recovered beautifully from Anaplasmosis. He had several teeth removed so he eats soft food. He’s an inspiring dog with a heart of gold!
