    31.7.12 Mimi finally found the caring retirement home she so deserves. ——————————————————————- Poor Mimi is looking for a new home at the ripe old age of 17 years. She has been in rescue waiting for a home for a while now. She is a beautiful tabby girl, and as you can see, really does not look her age. She still enjoys a little play but ideally would like to be an only cat in a home without small children.

    11/6/12 – We just had this sad update from the Ark: Kilo collapsed and has had to be put to sleep. He didn’t respond to treatment and the vet said there was nothing more he could do and he had no quality of life. Sue and Laura, the manager and assistant manager at the Ark were with him and cuddling him when he died. There was a lady who was interested in adopting him but a home came just too late for the poor old boy :(

    Bonnie came into the care of the Oldies Club because her owner was moving into sheltered accommodation where dogs weren’t allowed. She is deaf, has liver failure, severe arthritis, and a malignant tumour – but all are being managed with medication so she can still really enjoy life and have fun! Could you help by sponsoring Bonnie?

    Sheba came into our care with her devoted sister Bracken. Tragically, Sheba was diagnosed with aggressive bone cancer in her shoulder and was in so much pain that we had to let her go.

They are Basil and Horus and although they would love to find a home together, they could be rehomed separately to the right homes. They are very friendly, but quite undemanding and only want a loving home where they can enjoy the rest of their retirement.

    It was such a shock to find that energetic Fudge had a very serious heart defect, and even worse that she quickly became critically ill and died of heart failure. She leaves behind her son, Spike, in the care of their devoted foster carers.

    We don’t know much about Peggy’s past, but we do know that she’s a sweet and gentle girl. She needs a home with someone around a lot of the time as she doesn’t like to be left. She enjoys lazing in the sun, and her playful side is starting to emerge. Peggy’s fine with dogs, good with children, and enjoys a car journey.
