Nero and Cara (German Shepherd Dog Rescue, Hampshire)

This delightful pair of German Shepherds are Nero (left) and Cara (right). They are not litter mates, but have lived together since they were very young. They want to stay and grow old together, so they hope there is a GSD lover out there who can open their heart and home to them. They are in rescue with German Shepherd Dog Rescue through no fault of their own. Their previous owners had a relationship breakdown and the new housing could not accommodate them. Both of them are 7 years old and that’s young for an oldie!
Nero!
Nero, as you can see, is gorgeous  and he is also a happy, playful and gentle boy who loves to give kisses and having tummy tickles. He has great recall and loves running around in the fields, gloriously free from the lead.
Nero is reactive with other dogs when he is with Cara, but on his own he is good with them.
Cara!
Cara is a beautiful girl who loves being brushed to keep her lovely long coat looking its best. She also adores having tummy tickles. She has good recall as well, so long as there are no distractions and she will romp through the fields with Nero or on her own. She does tend to pull a bit on the lead and prefers to be free to run about.
Cara will bark at other dogs she sees while out, but that is the extend of it.This couple have been together since they were young and they are very bonded. They would love to find a home together, but GSD Rescue will also consider rehoming them separately.

Both would love to have a large secure garden and open fields to run about in. They are still energetic for their age. A rural setting would suit them fine and of course an owner who will give them all the love and care they need and deserve.

If you are the one who can fit these two in your life, you will not be sorry. If you are interested in them, please fill out a rehoming application at GSD Rescue website and someone will contact you for a chat.

Please mention you saw Nero and Cara on the Oldies Club website.
