18/10/18 – Beautiful Cara has found her new home!
This delightful German Shepherd is Cara who is 7 years old and is with German Shepherd Dog Rescue. She is in Hampshire and needs to find a new home because her previous owners had a relationship breakdown and the new housing could not accommodate Cara (nor her friend Nero who has already found a new home).
Cara is a beautiful girl who loves being brushed to keep her lovely long coat looking its best. She also adores having tummy tickles. She has good recall as well, so long as there are no distractions. On the lead she does tend to pull a bit and prefers to be free to run about and romp through the fields.
Cara is nervous of strangers and needs to be allowed time to come to go to them of her own accord rather than strangers approaching her. Cara will bark at other dogs she sees while out, but that is the extent of it and she does not lunge.
Cara would love to have a large secure garden and open fields to run about in. She is still energetic for her age. A rural setting would suit her fine and of course an owner who will give her all the love and care she needs and deserves.
