19/9/11 – We have just had the sad news that Nelson had a massive stroke this week and, under vet advice, he was PTS. Nelson had just been reserved by someone interested in rehoming him but sadly he didn’t make it :( Sleep tight, Nelson.

Nelson is Collie/Terrier cross aged 11 years old and he’s in the care of the RSPCA Lincoln.  It’s so sad to see a dog as old as Nelson in kennels without a home and he will be particularly hard to rehome as he’s diabetic and his sight isn’t great . . . not that either hold him back for a minute!

In fact, Nelson is still an active boy and his reduced vision doesn’t stop him running around (in fact you’d never know he had sight issues).    The RSPCA really hope they can find someone prepared to give this boy a home for his twilight years.    He came into their care with Norick, another older boy so these two can be rehomed together.

Come and see Nelson, he’s so pleased to see you and always has a waggy tail to greet you with.  Video and more photos http://s376.photobucket.com/albums/oo210/nikmurphy/Lincoln%20Dogs/Nelson/

If you’re interested in Nelson, or even better, Nelson and his mate Norick, please contact the RSPCA as follows:

RSPCA Lincoln Tel/Fax (office only): 01522 544862.    (This telephone is manned 9.30am until 12.45pm Monday – Friday)
