Ben is an eight year old greyhound just waiting, like so many others, for the opportunity to prove that underneath his “lean mean running machine” image, he’s just like any other dog. He wants just the same things; walks, fuss and attention, and somewhere comfortable to rest his head.

Ben retired from racing 3-4 years ago and has been in kennels ever since. He’s looking for a new home via Romford Greyhound Homing in Brentwood, Essex.

Ben would suit most types of home and he’s fine with children so could live with a family. He isn’t sure of other breeds of dog yet and can be quite vocal when he meets them. He’d therefore be best as an only dog, or sharing with a calm female greyhound.

Ben loves going for walks and is used to wearing a muzzle whilst his socialisation continues. He’d be ideal for someone who has a large garden or perhaps a secure field where he could exercise without the stress of meeting too many other dogs. He just needs time to get used to a new life away from kennels.

Ben is neutered and has no known medical conditions.
