Laddie (Lakeland Trailhound Welfare, fostered Cumbria)

19/11/17 – Brilliant news from Lakeland Trailhound Welfare: ‘I am delighted to tell you that Laddie Trailhound has been adopted. He now lives on a Scottish island with 2 cats. The adopter saw him on the Oldies Club website. So THANK YOU for your support and help with finding him a home.”

Dapper chap Laddie is a 10 year old Trailhound enjoying the Cumbrian countryside at his foster home, through Lakeland Trailhound Welfare. Laddie is being rehomed under their ‘assisted adoption’ scheme, which means that LTW will cover costs for some of Laddie’s vet bills in the future.

Laddie has a lovely gentle temperament and gets on well with the 2 hounds he is currently living with. He’ll need a secure garden and to be kept on a long lead when out on walks until trained to recall, as he loves to follow his nose!

Laddie used to race under the name Jackpot. He’s been in foster for months now. This is mainly because he had some health issues to overcome. Also though, the standard of life he’s become accustomed to in this stunning place will take some living up to!

But it’s not about aesthetics for Laddie. Love, a sense of belonging and, most importantly, interesting smells are where it’s at for him.

Not only can Laddie live with other dogs, but also dog savvy cats!

He is an adorable old boy, who loves a long walk and then settles down for the night snoozing on a comfortable bed.

Laddie has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and flea/worm treated. He is on Propalin, which has cleared up a leaky bladder problem and needs yearly checks to make sure there’s no recurrence of lesions, which led to him having his spleen removed. He’s bounced right back now. Too many exciting smells in the world to feel sorry for yourself!
