Meet adorable Dennis, a cute little 10-year-old terrier cross who is just full of that famed terrier character! This little fellow was found abandoned and was in poor condition when he arrived at Ardley Rescue Kennels.

Poor Dennis was just covered in lumps and bumps and he was missing a large area of his coat on his back. The largest of the lumps has been removed and it turns out if was just a fatty lump and nothing to worry about. The vet thinks he might have lost his fur due to a hormonal imbalance. Luckily it’s summer and he should have it back before it gets cold.

You can see Dennis is wearing cute little socks and this is so he doesn’t scratch the staples from his surgery! They do make quite a fashion statement as well.

Dennis is a real character; a little terrier who knows his own mind and is not afraid to grumble if he is annoyed. But he also such a sweetie; he loves having a fuss and he communicates with you both vocally and with a wagging tail – both at the same time!

Dennis is good with other dogs, but at his age and because he can be a grumpy little old man at times, he would prefer to be an only dog in a home without very young children. He might be able to live with another placid dog and with older, respectful kids, aged 12 and above. He gets along fine with cats!

Dennis is an older fellow but he still has plenty of energy. He loves chasing a ball although he hasn’t mastered the whole bringing it back bit. He is a funny, quirky little boy who is fun to play and cuddle with.

Dennis will fill your life with love, joy and fun! If you would like to meet him, contact Ardley Rescue Kennels to arrange an appointment as follows:
