———————–

Frankie is the most delightful 10-year-old Shih Tzu x Lhasa Apso who is being rehomed by Chilterns Dog Rescue Society in Tring, Hertfordshire.

Frankie has been a constant and loving companion to a lady who has now gone into a hospice. He is a gentle, affectionate dog who loves people and gets on well with other dogs. Although life has recently been very quiet for Frankie, he settled into Rescue Centre life immediately and is number one favourite with all the volunteers. He loves his walks of around 45 minutes to an hour each day and a secure garden to relax in would be ideal. A quieter home would suit him best although he would no doubt be happy to meet visiting children. He can live with compatible dogs and cats.

Frankie is in remarkably good health for his age. The only condition of note, and which may influence the choice of adopter, are his ears. He has just had a nodule removed from his ear flap; this healed perfectly and requires no further treatment. When his ears were flushed and cleaned a few further tiny nodules were noted. While they are neither infected nor a risk to Frankie, their secretions drain into Frankie’s ear canals and can build up quite rapidly. Frankie’s new owner must therefore be willing and able to clean inside his ears on a daily basis to prevent any build up of unwanted material. Frankie is neutered.
