3/2/19 – Henry has found a home!

Henry is a shy and gentle soul. He’s a 10 year old Staffy who is with Senior Staffy Club, in a foster home in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

Henry has a lovely, sweet personality and is not boisterous. He is very loving and interactive, is gentle and loves cuddles. He can be a little anxious in new situations, but with guidance he copes fine. He had some issues with separation anxiety, but his fosterer has been managing this and he is now happy to be left for a few hours, and just sleeps in his basket.

Henry would prefer a quiet home without children, and where he is the only pet. He is lovely to walk on the lead and he is good when passing other dogs out and about. Henry is a little too old for big hikes but will happily go for a mile or two. He trots along at a good pace and seems fit and healthy for his age.

Henry is perfect in the house, obedient and fully house trained. He has the most adorable face and big dark eyes that melt your heart. He has been an absolute pleasure in foster and has been such a good boy and quickly settled in. He sleeps right through the night.

He was perfectly behaved at a recent trip to the vets, a good boy in the car, and has been good with visitors to the home. He would suit a quiet home where he will only be left for a few hours a day. Because he needs to go out to the toilet every few hours, and because he has a slightly anxious personality, he is not suitable for full-time workers where he would have to be left all day with just a lunchtime visit.

Henry likes to sit with you, he leans against you and demands that you stroke or touch him, and if you stop he pushes his nose under your hand to remind you to carry on. Sometimes he will take himself off to his bed, rake it up to make a nest, settle down and go to sleep. If you follow to see where he has gone he likes you to cover him up in a blanket.

Sometimes he will bring his foster Dad a toy and demand that he gets down on the floor for some staffy play. This can be quite rough and there is a lot of play growling and charging about but they both love it!

Could Henry come to live with you?
