30/6/18 – Lovely Lana has found her new home!

Soppy girl Lana is a Collie cross of around 7 years who’s in foster care near Fordingbridge, Hampshire through Safe Rescue. She’s both laid back and playful. It’s very surprising that she hasn’t been snapped up before now because she’s happy living with other medium to large dogs…
…and dog savvy cats…
…and even chickens!
She’s looking for an adult only home or perhaps one with teenagers. A nice garden is a must. As is plenty of love!
Her foster carer says, “She’s a lovely, big, friendly, somewhat chubby, gentle girlie who’s very easy to have around. Absolutely loves her walks and is brilliant on lead. Off lead her recall could do with a bit of work but she never strays far from her pack.
“She is not very fond of small dogs and will bark at them. She has pretty much ignored the cats in the house (found her asleep on my bed once with a cat also asleep on the bed) but she does grumble at them if they get too close and has barked at others she’s seen outside. Ideally I would love her to have a medium sized (upwards) doggy companion to play with in her forever home; sadly none of my miserable lot oblige her.
“She absolutely loves to play chase. She has a couple of quirks that suggest a bad life at some point: oddly, she will hide when you cook… under a coffee table, under a spare bed or the furthest reaches of the garden hiding in the shrubs. Also, she hates being touched on her collar but this is not unusual for a dog who has been in a shelter in Romania for at least 3 years of her life.”
Lana is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and has a passport! She’ll be a wonderfully cheery addition to your home, always ready for a tummy rub!
