4/7/18 – Layla has found a home!
————-

Layla is a jolly 11 year old black Labrador girl, in foster care in Swadlincote, Derbyshire through Wonky Pets Rescue.

Layla is a super girl! An affectionate, happy, friendly and loving girl who deserves a home to call her own. She has found being in foster with so many dogs quite a challenge and she would be happiest as an only dog or with just one other laid back dog in her new home.

She is a typical Lab type in that she LOVES her food and unfortunately has been allowed to get quite overweight, the extra weight isn’t doing her joints much good and she is a little stiff on one back leg but is on some joint supplements now and a diet which will help her enormously. She has lost 3kg since first arriving!

Layla enjoys her walks and will need a new home with someone active enough to take her on a couple of good length walks a day, to help that weight shift. She loves playing fetch and chasing a ball so this is helping her to regain her fitness levels too.

She hasn’t lived with very small children in the past and will be best in a home with sensible, calm resident children age 5 plus but is fine with visiting children of any age. She hasn’t been bothered at all by the cats in foster so could share her home with a dog savvy feline.

Layla travels OK in the car, is completely housetrained and is very well behaved in the house. She’ll make someone a truly wonderful companion!

She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated. Layla will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
