26/12/18 – Rehomed

Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare is so hoping this lovely, little pair will soon find a new owner to take them home and give them the home comforts they love so much. They are in foster care but would love to find their own home.

Lucky (male) and Suzie (female) are 13 – 14 year old Terrier mixes and are looking for a home together so they can enjoy their twilight years in comfort.

They are very loving dogs and would provide something very special to a lucky home. Suzie is very friendly with visitors and likes a fuss and Lucky sometimes will seek attention or ignore them.

Both dogs are so playful and loving, you wouldn’t know they are 14 as they are just so bouncy. Suzie loves to chase after tennis balls and shake soft toys around, whilst Lucky loves rolling around on his back and doing zoomies.

Both dogs are fine with other dogs and will walk by them nicely. Neither of them likes bouncy, over-the-top dogs and will bark at them.

Lucky and Suzie do enjoy their walks and would like around 20 to 30 minutes twice a day. They will need an adult-only home as they have not had much contact with children and a garden so they can potter and run about chasing tennis balls.

Lucky and Suzie are house-trained and travel calmly in the car. They don’t want to be left for long periods and can be anxious, so they will need a home where they will have company most of the time.

Their foster carer said, “Lucky does the most adorable head tilt if you ask him anything in a high pitched question voice! They both get super excited about their walks, so when I sit on the bottom step to put my shoes on, they both go under my legs again and again like cats. Suzie doesn’t like to miss anything. She will start to fall asleep, but doesn’t rest her head so her eyes just keep closing and her little head keeps dropping. They are so much fun and I just want to get them into their forever home so someone can enjoy them for as much time as they have.”

Lucky requires on-going medication for a thyroid problem and can suffer from a sensitive stomach so needs consideration given to feeding, though he does not require a prescription diet. Suzie has medication for a painful joint and is being monitored for her kidney function. Both dogs have had a dental, scale and polish.
