9-year-old Max is a gentle and loving Staffy boy who is in a Senior Staffy Club foster home in north-east Lincolnshire, waiting to find his forever home.

Smiley and loyal, Max finds himself in rescue because his owner sadly died at the beginning of the year. Max is a lovely lad who walks past other dogs OK, and used to live with a dog when he was younger, but that was some time ago. He might be best as only dog but could possibly live with a calm female. He can live with children aged 10+ but needs a home without cats.

Max is a lively, healthy boy after suffering a bout of ill-health not long after he arrived with SSC. He had bladder stones, which were removed but returned quickly, and unfortunately he had to have a procedure called a urethrostomy. It took him a while to recover, and the vet who treated him liked him so much she took him home to foster him!

Max is now completely well and looking for his forever home. He must be kept on a strict urinary diet for the rest of his life.

Max is good in the car; his favourite place is the front passenger seat!

He loves his walks, and will happily walk for an hour or so. He also adores his bed and having a snooze. He likes to take himself off to bed around 10pm, and usually sleeps all through the night, but if he does need to go to the toilet he will come and ask you to let him out. He likes to sleep in until around 8am!

Could you bring a smile to Max’s adorable face after his horrible start to the year?
