Cash is a lovely, male, liver and white Springer Spaniel and he is 8 years old. Sadly, Cash’s Dad died of cancer and, because of his own struggles before he passed away, Cash became obese due to no exercise and being overfed. He was placed in a pound facility and a family member contacted Adopt a Dog North East to help rehome him.

Cash (looking good after his beauty session)

Cash is a very friendly boy and very doting. He follows his humans everywhere and he is good in the house, clean and non-destructive. He loves attention and playing with toys. Being such a perfect boy, he can live with dogs, children and cats too.

Cash could barely walk as he was so overweight but can now manage walks around the garden and ball play to help reduce his weight. He is on a reduced diet and has successfully dropped from a whopping 34kg to 24kg and needs to get to 19kg ideally for his optimum breed weight.

Cash is neutered and does not require medication but he is on a joint supplement as the weight gain has put pressure on his joints. He needs a sensible home to carry on with his diet and gradual exercise. Ideally, he will not be left longer than 4 hours as he does enjoy company. He would make an ideal companion for someone looking for a very faithful and sprightly, if overweight Spaniel.
