26/11/19 – Dena has found a home!

Dena is an 8-year-old medium-sized Crossbreed who is with Safe Rescue, fostered near Norwich.

Poor Dena has spent the last 6 years at a shelter in Romania. She is understandably quite shocked by the dramatic changes in her life, but she is coping admirably. Dena is a shy and quiet dog around people but she is not as nervous as a lot of dogs that have suffered prolonged incarceration. She gets on well with other dogs, and a companion dog in her new home would really help her to settle in.

Walking on a lead was initially quite daunting for Dena, but after a couple of days a light switched on and now she wants to take in every last sight, smell and sound, almost as if she fears it might all be snatched away from her again. Dena needs peace and relaxation at home but also the exercise and adventure of nice walks. The walks don’t need to be long but they do need to be regular and preferably varied. Dena walks well on a lead apart from wanting to stop and sniff a lot, this should wear off as the novelty factor subsides over time.

Dena is perhaps a little too shy to live with very young children but over-twelves or visiting children would be fine. She appears to be fine to be left and is just happy to snooze away the hours on the sofa.

Could you offer Dena a wonderful home?
