9/11/19 – Duke has now gone to his new home!
—————

Duke is an absolutely gorgeous, sable long-coated German Shepherd boy, aged 7. His owner was evicted and had nowhere for Duke to go, so he is lucky to now be with All Animals Rescue and Rehome in Essex.

Duke is a wonderful dog and a true gentle giant. He walks beautifully on the lead and he has great recall when he goes off lead. He is house trained and he likes to spend most of the day snoozing on the sofa. His biggest loves are food, walks, swimming and cuddles.

When Duke arrived in rescue he was fearful of the outside world, and the rescue knows that he was used for breeding. He didn’t seem to have had socialisation outside of the house and was very wary of new people. All Animals R&R are glad to say that this is all behind him and he is now a very social boy indeed.

Duke is a real darling with not a bad bone in his body. He could live with other dogs but it is thought that he would prefer a home to himself as he doesn’t like being crowded. He can’t live with cats. He is not destructive at all and is quite content being left for short periods. He is a very undemanding and lazy boy who would suit an older person or couple. He is neutered and microchipped and has been flea and worm treated.

Duke will make a fantastic addition to his new family as he is laid back and undemanding but at the same time he is a cuddly, loyal companion. Could gentle Duke be your new best friend?
